In 2015, Worldwide Rental Services provided Ace Engineering with up to 10 pieces of earthmoving equipment on the Federal Highway Administration’s Sage Creek Road project. Sage Creek Road (State Highway 71) begins in Rawlins Wyoming and proceeds south for approximately 53.4 miles to the intersection of Wyoming State Highway 70.

The project began approximately 26 miles south of Rawlins, Wyoming and terminated at Wyoming State Highway 70. Portions of the project were located at elevations reaching 8100 feet which provided some interesting weather conditions. The project consisted of 206,000 CY of roadway excavation, 81,000 tons of aggregate surfacing, 8 concrete headwalls, 1300 feet of 18 inch to 48 inch culvert, 80 feet of 90 inch culvert, 3500 CY of riprap, clearing and grubbing, placing of conserved topsoil, soil erosion control, seeding and mulching, fencing and survey and staking. The project also included the installation of a bridge at Sandstone Creek near the entrance of Medicine Bow National Forest. Communication between Jae Lee and Stuart Gusty of Ace with Bart Furrow and Larry Stolp of WRS made the project go smoothly and it was completed on time.
